A successful experiment!

Posted in Nursery News

The nursery hosted a science day on Saturday 19th October. After presenting various experiments the children and their families could have a go themselves. Experiments varied from Lava lamps, volcano’s and the sensory room was opened for families to explore. The toddler room hosted various illusions to get us all intrigued.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff who were involved in the activities. In particular thank you to Lynda Cameron who took on the planning and organising of the event. We have had some wonderful feedback and hope to plan further activity days in the future. Any suggestions would be taken on board!

Little Angels Day Nursery has a visit from the dentist

Posted in Events, Nursery News

Have you brushed your teeth this morning??? The preschool children thoroughly enjoyed a visit from our local dentist. They discussed the importance of healthy teeth and gums with the children. They also saw a programme about going to the dentists and were shown how to brush teeth properly using a giant model and toothbrushes. Each child got a magic toothbrush with toothpaste built in so they could practice their brushing skills later that day

Little Angels Day Nursery is a Healthy Tots setting.

Posted in Information, Nursery News

We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded healthy tots status from the county council’s Healthy Tots programme. It shows that we are meeting high standards in Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Emotional Health and Well Being. Well done to everyone!
Also, huge congratulations to the nursery in raising over £900.00 for Comic Relief by hosting the “Little Red Balloon Race.” It was great fun and getting responses from people who found the balloons has been very exciting. One balloon had found its way to the Netherlands!
