| The nursery room is a colourful, busy room catering for the needs of children from the age of approx. 2 years to approx. 3 years of age. There is a maximum of 21 children per session with a minimum 4:1 child to adult ratio. The room is full of busy energy along with educational, stimulating yet fun activities for the children to investigate and explore whilst satisfying their growing need to learn about the world.
The daily routine includes a mixture of structured and free play, craft and messy play, circle time (stories & singing) and language rings along with time in the outside play area. These ensure that the children are exposed to all the areas of learning and development within the foundation stage curriculum guidance. The emphasis though remains with each child's individual needs within a fun and caring environment, with the emphasis on learning through play.
