The Preschool room is for children aged from approx. 3 years to school age. We cater for up to 22 children each session on an 8:1 child to adult ratio.

Activities are based upon the foundation stage curriculum and revolve around set monthly themes. Through a variety of topical activities, games, role play and craft, the children are introduced to a wide range of familiar and new skills and experiences through which they can practice, explore, investigate and learn. Music and movement, songs, action rhymes, stories and group discussions are also used to help the children enjoy learning about each particular topic. Through the thoughtfully planned curriculum around the early learning goals, children are stimulated into wanting to learn and thus become well prepared in all the basic skills. The children are exposed to activities through structured and free play which is balanced with quieter periods of the day such as story time and small group table top activities.
